It would probably work best the way Kizz mentioned - with everyone lying on their backs. I think people would be a lot more self-conscious if they were sitting around looking at each other. Give it a whirl and let us know how it turned out. We all need more laughter in our lives.

From what I have read of your life, I would be shocked if you do not already have a core of people in your group who get you. If it feels more comfortable, talk to them first and get them on board, and then introduce it as something to try - knowing you will have "laughers" with you, just do it! I live alone and I know I do not laugh enough. Would I try this? Yes. The neighbors already refer to me as a character - chip off of the grandparental block, so to speak, so no one would be shocked to drive in and find me on the deck convulsed in laughter. Thank you for this.

You feel silly at first but then you get the giggles and it feels good. During a particularly tough period on drama school our singing teacher had us all laid out on the floor and asked us to start laughing. She never got us back. Once we'd almost get to the end of it our fabulous Nigerian member would chuckle and we'd be off again. It was lovely and petrifying and just what we needed.

I think it is a good idea, and I am not someone who laughs a lot, even when I find something funny.

I'm going to try it. :0

I'm glad you received positive feedback from a couple of students and that so many people keep coming back for your class. You obviously provide for them a safe and nurturing environment - something I think we all need a little more of right now.

No surprise but:

You Are a Fitness Yogi!
Whether you see it as spiritual or not, you came to Yoga first and foremost for its physical benefits - the added flexibility, increased energy and overall sense of well-being. You like a challenge in life and in your Yoga practice. Your assets are your willingness to work hard at your practice and your exuberance. You need to work on your concentration so you can discover the stillness within you. The more physical styles of Yoga appeal most to you - Power Yoga, Bikram and Flow. You love Vinyasas such as Sun Salutation and its variations. Ashtanga would probably give you the best of both the spiritual and physical aspects of Yoga.

What a good reminder, oh wise yogini! I think when I sit down to write myself some goals, I'm also going to write down the goals I've already accomplished. Thanks for a great idea.

Oy, I wish I was better at staying present in the moment. Depression, anxiety, fear, worry are all impossible if you are in the moment. My 40 days of positive posts was my attempt to practice living in the present and noticing my surroundings and to make it more automatic for me.

It's difficult to drag my butt back to the present but I'm so glad when I able to do it because I'm so much happier.
